Joshua 24:14 

Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 

Joshua was speaking to the children of Israel just before he died. He was expressing to them the importance of the decision of who they were going to serve.

In the first part of this verse, he tells them to fear the Lord. This is not a “scared” fear but a fear that causes you to stand in Awe of our perfect God.

Next Joshua says to “Serve Him”. If you are a child of God, you should be choosing to serve God. Do anything and everything you can to serve Him. There is nothing greater that you can do! Giving God your time and energy is the best way to spend your time.
